Swift's career grew rapidly from children's play roles, through her first appearance on stage in crowds of people. She drew inspiration from the popular country artists like Shania Twain and the Dixie Chicks (now the Chicks) Swift crafted original material that reflected her experiences of growing up in a world that was dominated by tweens. Swift's parents relocated her to Tennessee at 13 after selling their Pennsylvania farm. The move gave Swift to devote more time trying to find labels that would promote country music in Nashville.
